ODOT seeks comments on U.S. Route 40 bridge replacement project between Lansing and Brookside
New Philadelphia, Ohio (Monday, November 29, 2010) – The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) District 11 is proposing the replacement of a 20-foot drainage structure under U.S. Route 40 near Wolfhurst in Pease Township, Belmont County.
The existing bridge will be replaced with a 10-foot by 6-foot precast concrete box culvert. Traffic will be maintained during construction utilizing part-width techniques which is anticipated for next summer.
ODOT is seeking comments from the public about the social, environmental, and economic impacts of the proposed project. Environmental impacts include impacts associated with architectural and ecological resources, hazardous materials, and the general location of the project.
