ODOT seeks comments on State Route 148 bridge replacement project in Belmont County
New Philadelphia, Ohio (Monday, November 29, 2010) – The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) District 11 is proposing the replacement of an existing bridge on State Route 148 over the North Fork of the Captina Creek located southeast of Barnesville and State Route 800 in Belmont County.
The 1931, three-span bridge will be replaced with a three-span continuous reinforced concrete slab bridge. SR 148 will be detoured during construction. No permanent right of way will be required to complete this project which is anticipated to begin next summer.
ODOT is seeking comments from the public about the social, environmental, and economic impacts of the proposed project. Environmental impacts include impacts associated with architectural and ecological resources, hazardous materials, and the general location of the project.
