State Route 7 to be restricted next week at W.H. Sammis Plant in Stratton for work on exhaust stacks
New Philadelphia, Ohio (Monday, December 6, 2010) – Delays are possible next week on State Route 7 in Stratton, Jefferson County, for work at the W.H. Sammis Plant.
SR 7 traffic may be stopped for brief periods of time while the FirstEnergy Corp. performs work on its exhaust stacks.
This work will only be performed between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., Monday, December 13th through Friday, December 17th, weather permitting.
ODOT reminds motorists to SLOW DOWN for the "Cone Zone;" turn on headlights and drive carefully in work zones. Drive responsibly for your safety and the safety of the highway workers. Remember, fines in work zones are doubled for not obeying traffic signs. Minimize distractions – turn OFF cell phones in construction zones. Remember to always buckle up.
