ODOT Seeks Comments on New County Garage Construction in Millersburg
(NEW PHILADELPHIA, OHIO) --The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) District 11 is proposing the construction of a new county maintenance facility in Millersburg, Ohio.
The project will construct a new county maintenance garage on State Route 83 in Millersburg. The new facility will replace the existing ODOT Holmes County garage constructed in 1955 and will be located on the same site. All the garage operations will be relocated to temporary facilities during construction and back to the existing garage location upon completion of the new facility, which is expected for the spring/summer of 2010. Service to the public will be uninterrupted during construction.
ODOT is seeking comments from the public about the social, environmental and economic impacts of this proposed project. Environmental impacts include impacts associated with architectural and ecological resources, hazardous materials and the general location of the project.
