Possible Delays Next Two Weeks on State Route 7 for Work at the W.H. Sammis Plant
(NEW PHILADELPHIA, OHIO) -- Delays are possible over the next two weeks on State Route 7 in Stratton, Jefferson County, for work at the W. H. Sammis Plant.
SR 7 traffic may be stopped for brief periods of time while the FirstEnergy Corp. off-loads duct work from barges on the Ohio River as part of their environmental control retrofit construction project underway at the company's plant.
This work will only be performed during daylight hours and will not occur on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, or New Year's Day.
One lane of traffic will continue to be maintained in each direction.
