Additional Lane Opened on State Route 2 Eastbound over I-90
Garfield Heights (Friday, July 30, 2010) – Overnight last night, Thursday, July 29, the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) and Terrace Construction Company, Inc. opened one additional lane in the eastbound direction on the State Route 2 bridge over Interstate 90 in the city of Cleveland.
Currently, two lanes in the eastbound direction and one lane in the westbound direction on State Route 2 over the I-90 Innerbelt Curve are open. One lane remains closed in each direction until mid-September.
Intermittent, nightly lane closures on Interstate 90 beneath the structure are also expected during portions of the project.
Crews will work both daily and nightly, 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and 11 p.m. to 7 a.m., as the project progresses.
The entire project replaces the deck of the State Route 2 bridge over Interstate 90 and is expected to be complete on, or around, August 30, 2010.
