Brecksville: Valley Parkway Closing Over Interstate 77
Full closure of Valley Parkway for approximately 180 days
GARFIELD HEIGHTS (Thursday, February 20, 2014)Tentatively scheduled for Monday, March 10, crews on behalf of the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) will close Valley Parkway over Interstate 77  in the city of Brecksville.

Valley Parkway over I-77 will be closed between Barr Road and Highland Drive for approximately 180 days-until late August 2014, as crews replace the Valley Parkway bridge.  Motorists will be detoured via Barr Road, East Edgerton Road and Highland Drive.

The bridge sustained damage in early 2011 and one lane of two-way traffic has been maintained on the bridge since the incident.  This project will return the bridge to two lanes of traffic, one in each direction, with a separate bridle trail on the south side.
