Bridge Deck work to begin on I-90 between E. 185th & E. 200th streets
*UPDATED* Thursday, August 9, 2018 - Changes to traffic configuration on I-90 east and westbound.
GARFIELD HEIGHTS (Friday, April 6, 2018) -
Motorists that frequent I-90 on the eastside of Cleveland
will soon see a traffic shift and ramp closures east and westbound between East
185th Street and East 200th Street for bridge deck
replacement work over East 185th Street, Neff Road and East 200th
Saturday, August 10, crews will close
various lanes on I-90 east and westbound between E. 185th Street and E. 200th
Street from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Sunday in order perfrom traffic shift operations.
Traffic will remain shifted on I-90 westbound and the following ramps will
remain closed through spring 2019 at which time traffic will be shifted to
accommodate westbound bridge work.
When all lanes reopen on Sunday at 6 a.m., all lanes of I-90 eastbound between E. 185th Street and E. 200th Street will be shifted to the left to allow work to take place in the right two lanes and shoulder.
East 185th Street northbound entrance ramp to I-90 westbound. Motorists will be able to access I-90 westbound utilizing the East 185th Street southbound entrance ramp to I-90 westbound.
East 200th Street entrance ramp to I-90 westbound. Motorists will be detoured via Villaview Road to East 185th Street to access I-90 westbound.
I-90 westbound exit ramp to East 185th Street. Motorists will be detoured via East 200th Street to North Lakeland Blvd. to Villaview Road to East 185th Street.
Neff Road/South Waterloo Road entrance ramp to I-90 eastbound. Motorists will be detoured via S. Waterloo Road to access I-90 eastbound via the East 200th Street ramp.
All lanes of I-90 east will remain shifted and the Neff
Road/South Waterloo Road ramp to I-90 eastbound will remain closed through
Lanes will be narrowed and traffic will be shifted on
westbound between East 185th Street and East 200th Street
again in spring 2019 as the three bridge deck replacements takes place.
Additional ramp closures will be necessary and those details will be
will be reduced while construction workers are
present utilizing Variable Speed Limit signs.
All work is weather permitting and dates may change. Updates will be sent out ahead of each phase change.
