Busy Lake County Intersection to See Improvements
State Route 91 and U.S. 20 Intersection in the City of Willoughby
Garfield Heights, Ohio (Monday, July 12, 2010) – Starting today, Monday, July 12, the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) and the Karvo Paving Company of Cuyahoga Falls will begin a project to upgrade the State Route 91 and U.S. 20 intersection in the City of Willoughby.
The project includes extending the duel left turning lanes and the right turning lane on State Route 91 southbound to U.S. 20 to increase traffic flow efficiencies at the intersection. Crews will also upgrade traffic signalization on U.S. 20 at SR 91 and Plaza Drive and resurface SR 91 between U.S. 20 and the City of Eastlake corporation line.
Work will take place four to five days a week – Monday through Friday – from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Traffic will be maintained.
Night and weekend work is expected along with lane restrictions along SR 91. Details will be forthcoming.
The entire project is scheduled to be complete on, or around, June 30, 2011.
