Cleveland: Community College Avenue Resurfacing to Resume
GARFIELD HEIGHTS (Wednesday, March 30, 2016) – The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) in coordination with the city of Cleveland and NOACA will soon resume work to resurface Community College Avenue in the city of Cleveland.
On about April 4, crews will resume work on the portion of the project between East 30th and 40th Streets.
Traffic will be maintained ONE-WAY westbound only for the duration of the project. Eastbound traffic will be detoured north on East 30th Street, east on Central Avenue and south on East 40th Street.
Work began last summer and the portion between East 22nd and East 30th Streets is mostly complete.
The entire project resurfaces Community College Avenue between East 22nd and East 40th Streets and includes new sidewalks, curb ramps and modified parking and biking facilities.
Crews will typically work Monday-Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. however may work until 7 p.m. and on weekends if needed. All work is expected to be complete this June.
This city of Cleveland project is funded through the Northeast Ohio Areawide Coordinating Agency (NOACA) with construction administration by ODOT.

The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable Federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried out by ODOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated December 11, 2015, and executed by FHWA and ODOT.
