Cleveland: St. Clair Avenue Resurfacing to Begin About June 1
Project to begin in the section between East 30th and East 55th Streets
GARFIELD HEIGHTS (Wednesday, May 26, 2016) – Beginning about next Wednesday, June 1, crews on behalf of the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT), in partnership with the city of Cleveland and NOACA, will begin a project to resurface portions of St. Clair Avenue in the city of Cleveland.
The project includes removal and replacement of existing asphalt pavement and the installation of new curb ramps along St. Clair Avenue from Old River Road to West 9th Street and from East 13th Street to East 55th Street
About June 1, crews will begin in the section of the project between East 30th and East 55th Streets. One lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained. Driveway access will be maintained at all times.
Motorists should also be alert for short-term closures of East 53rd Street just north of St. Clair and Marquette Avenue just north of St. Clair. Traffic will be rerouted to Hamilton Court.
Motorists will need to be alert for lanes shifts and barrels used to direct traffic. These traffic restrictions are scheduled to be in place until August 2016.
