CLEVELAND (Friday, August 26, 2011) – As students return to the campuses of Cleveland State University and Cuyahoga Community College on Monday, the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) has created the Cleveland Innerbelt "Get Back to Campus" map to help students and faculty navigate their return to campus.
With approximately 16,000 students attending classes at CSU and nearly 8,000 at Tri-C’s downtown campus, some students and faculty may be unfamiliar with recent traffic changes near the Innerbelt Bridge.
ODOT’s "Get Back to Campus" map will help students and faculty alike as they navigate through this important construction work.
Students and faculty may find the Cleveland Innerbelt "Get Back to Campus" map by visiting www.Innerbelt.org and clicking on "Get Back to Campus" map. The "Get Back to Campus" map is enhanced with a QR code that links directly to the Innerbelt Facebook page. The QR code allows smartphone and mobile device users instant access to traffic impacts and project updates.
Motorists who will be traveling into and around downtown Cleveland as they head back to campus are reminded to Opt for the Alternate! and use I-490 and I-77 to reach their destinations. Students, faculty and motorists alike are reminded to observe reduced speed limits in work zones and to be alert for changing conditions. Construction activities can result in daily changes within work zones.
Remember: I-90 and the Innerbelt Bridge will remain OPEN during these construction activities so motorists can still reach any location within the Cleveland area.
