Eastlake: SR 2 west ramp to SR 91 to close for 15 days
GARFIELD HEIGHTS (Thursday, July 6, 2017) - On
Monday July 17, the
westbound SR 2 exit ramp to SR 91 (SOM Center Rd.) will be closed to
traffic for a duration of 15 days to allow the contractor to
reconstruct the intersection. Motorists travelling westbound on SR 2 that want
to exit at SR 91 will be directed to exit at Vine Street and proceed west on
Vine Street to SR 91.
traffic on SR 91 has been shifted onto the existing southbound lanes of the SR
91 Bridge and will be maintained with one lane in each direction. Due to the
lane configuration across the bridge, left turns will be prohibited from SR 91
north and southbound to enter SR 2. SR
91 north motorists destined for SR 2 west will be detoured via SR 2 east to
Vine St. to SR 2 west. SR 91 south motorists destined for SR 2 east will be
detoured east on Vine St. to SR 2 east. Traffic will remain in this configuration
through fall 2017.
The project replaces the bridge deck
over SR 2, Lakeland Blvd. and CSX Railroad tracks in the city of Eastlake.
