Fairport Harbor: SR 535 Bridge Replacement Project to Begin Monday, April 7
Traffic will be maintained utilizing temporary traffic signals
GARFIELD HEIGHTS (Wednesday, April 2, 2014) – Starting Monday, April 7, crews on behalf of the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) will begin temporary lane closures on SR 535 over the Grand River to implement phase one traffic configuration of the SR 535 bridge replacement project in the village of Fairport Harbor.
Upon completion, crews will close the east side of the bridge and shift all traffic to the west side while crews work to replace the
bridge. One lane of two-way traffic will be maintained utilizing temporary traffic signals until mid-November 2014. Traffic will then be shifted to the newly reconstructed east side of the bridge in phase two utilizing the same traffic configuration.
The entire project replaces the SR 535 bridge over the Grand River and is expected to be complete in October 2015.
