Heisley Road over State Route 2 Closed to Southbound Traffic
Beginning January 9
GARFIELD HEIGHTS (Thursday, December 27, 2012) – During the week of January 7, crews on behalf of the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) will begin a project to replace the Heisley Road bridge deck over State Route 2 in the city of Mentor.
Crews will begin replacement preparations for the – weather dependent – January 9, 2013 closing of Heisley Road southbound traffic over SR 2. Two lanes of northbound traffic will be maintained across the bridge throughout construction. Heisley Road over SR 2 will be closed to southbound traffic through mid-October 2013.
Southbound Heisley Road motorists will be detoured via SR 2 westbound to SR 615 (Center Street) to SR 2 eastbound to Heisley Road southbound.
Motorists can expect daily lane closures on SR 2 under Heisley Road. Daily lane closures will not impact peak travel times.
