I-271 Widening Project Update
Cuyahoga County (Thursday, August 10) - This weekend, crews will begin to shift traffic onto the newly paved lanes of I-271 northbound. On Friday, August 11 at 8 p.m. all traffic headed to I-271 northbound will be diverted to the left contraflow lane.
Those wishing to access U.S. 422 or Miles Rd. should take the I-271 northbound contraflow lane and exit at Harvard Rd. to re-enter I-271 and access U.S. 422 east. or exit at Harvard Rd. and take Northfield Rd. south to Miles Rd.
During this time, the I-480 westbound exit to Rockside Rd. will also close. Motorists who missed the left contraflow lane can exit at Aurora Rd. to re-enter I-271 northbound. Those wishing to access Rockside Rd. can take the Aurora Rd. exit to Northfield Rd. and head south to Rockside Rd.
All lanes of traffic and ramps will be open by Monday, August 14 at 6 a.m. Detour signs will be in place.
