I-271 Express Lanes Partial Closure Pushed Back to Monday Mayfield Heights, Mayfield & Willoughby Hills

Garfield Heights, Ohio (Tuesday, July 6, 2010)Starting Monday, July 12 the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) and the Shelly Company of Twinsburg  will begin a project to resurface the I-271 Express Lanes between U.S. 322 (Mayfield Road) and Interstate 90 in the Cities of Mayfield Heights, Mayfield and Willoughby Hills.

Beginning on Monday, crews will close the I-271 southbound Express Lanes between I-90 and Mayfield Road as crews work to resurface the southbound Express Lanes.  The portion between I-90 and Highland Road will be closed until approximately August 1 and the portion between Highland Road and Mayfield Road will be closed until approximately July 18. 

The I-271 northbound Express Lanes will remain open along with the I-271 north and southbound Local Lanes. 

Once the southbound resurfacing is complete, crews will close the northbound Express Lanes and begin milling and paving.  Details will be forthcoming. 

The entire project is scheduled to be complete on, or around, October 15, 2010.
