I-480 Cloverleaf work to resume overnight April 11

April 10, 2008, Garfield Heights, OHWork to completely rehabilitate and rebuild the eastbound lanes of I-480 between Tuxedo Ave. and the Valley View Bridge will begin overnight Friday, April 11, 2008.

On Friday, April 11, crews will begin lane closures of I-480 eastbound at approximately 8 p.m. followed by the complete closure of the SR 176 (Jennings Freeway) southbound ramp to I-480 eastbound and Granger Rd./Brookpark Rd. entrance to I-480 eastbound at 10 p.m.  All lanes and ramps are expected to reopen by mid-morning Saturday, April 12.

Crews will work to shift eastbound traffic toward the center median maintaining three, reduced-width lanes during peak hours.  All lanes and ramps are expected to remain open during peak hours as the project progresses.

One lane of the SR 176 southbound ramp to I-480 eastbound will remain closed permanently in order to eliminate a tight merge and allow for smoother traffic flow onto I-480 eastbound.

All dates and times are approximate and weather dependent.  Should weather prohibit the operation overnight April 11, crews will move the operation to overnight Saturday, April 12.
