I-480/State Road Ramp Closures Postponed
Cleveland

UPDATED: Garfield Heights (May 26, 2009, 10:28 AM) The I-480/State Road ramp closures have been postponed due to inclement weather.

Overnight Thursday, May 28, 2009 into Friday morning, May 29 crews will close the I-480 eastbound exit ramp to State Road in order to reconstruct a portion of the pavement.  Motorists may detour via Ridge and Brookpark Roads.

On May 28, crews will also close multiple lanes of State Road southbound at the I-480 interchange.  One through lane and one turn lane to I-480 eastbound will be maintained.

Lane shifts and closures are also expected on northbound State Road; however impacts to traffic will be minimal.

Following the ramp closure noted above, crews will close the State Road ramp to I-480 eastbound.  Details will be forthcoming.

All ramps are expected to reopen on or around July 25, 2009.

The entire project reconstructs pavement and makes repairs to three bridges over I-480.  Crews have completed major work on the Broadview Road and Pearl Road bridges over I-480.  The entire project is expected to be complete this November.

All dates and times are approximate and weather dependent.
