Crews work to pour concrete for the new retaining wall between Ontario and East 9th Streets.
The following work will take place during the week of November 2-6 as part of the #GVVBridge project and the project to resurface the deck of the bridge which carries I-71 north over the Jennings Freeway at the Metro Curve. Work will take place from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. except where otherwise noted. Work is coordinated to avoid impacts to Downtown events, including Cavs games. More here:

UPDATED!! Overnight Monday the #GVVBridge will be closed in the inbound direction. Motorists from both I-71 north and I-90 east should Opt for the Alt! and use I-490 east to I-77 north. In addition, the ramp from I-490 east to I-77 north will be limited to one lane.
UPDATED!! Overnight Tuesday the ramp from I-71 north to I-490 east will be reduced to one lane & the ramp from I-77 north to I-90 east will be limited to one lane.
Overnight Wednesday the ramp for I-90 west to I-77 south will close. Detour via I-71 south to SR 176 south to I-480 east. In addition, I-71 north will be closed at the Metro Curve from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. All I-71 motorists should use I-490 east to I-77 north for access to Downtown Cleveland.
UPDATED!! I-71 north will close at the Metro Curve at 8 p.m. Friday until 10 a.m. on Saturday, November 7. Motorists will be detoured via I-490 east to I-77 north to reach Downtown and I-90. In addition, the West 25th Street/Fulton Road on-ramps to I-71 north will be closed. Detours will be posted.
Thru November expect lane closures on Orange Avenue/Ontario Street and East 9th Street, south of the Innerbelt, during off-peak hours.
NEW! Thursday, November 5 crews will close Ontario Street under I-90 from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. in order to place an overhead sign. Use East 9th Street or East 14th Street.
Tremont Impacts: Thru November 6 daytime lane closures will continue along Kenilworth and Starkweather Avenues under I-90. One lane in each direction will be maintained.
