Mon-Wed, July 21-23, crews will close the ramp from I-90 west to I-77 south from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.
NEW!! In addition to the overnight closure of the ramp from I-90 west to I-77 south from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Tuesday and Wednesday nights, I-77 south will also be closed in its entirety over I-490. Downtown ramps from Ontario, East 9th and East 30th/Orange Avenue will remain open for traffic entering I-77 south, but motorists will be detoured to I-490 west to SR 176 south to I-480 east to continue on I-77 south. I-90 west motorists bound for I-77 south will be detoured via I-90 west to I-71 south to SR 176 south to I-480 east to I-77 south.
UPDATED!! Through about Thursday, July 24 paving work will continue on East 22 Street between Orange and Carnegie Avenues. At least one lane of traffic in each direction is maintained. Additional paving in the vicinity of Orange/E 30th/Woodland is expected. Details will be forthcoming.
Pile driving is scheduled to begin Mon, July 21 near Ontario Street. This operation is permitted to take place from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m., 7-days-a-week, however the contractor expects to work daylight/weekday hours only. Pile driving operations are NOT permitted nights. Crews anticipate working from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. weekdays. Pile driving in this location will continue for the next several weeks.
Tremont Impacts: Be alert for construction vehicles crossing over Abbey and Fairfield Avenues. Flaggers will stop traffic temporarily while vehicles cross.
