Innerbelt Update

Attention Commuters:  Crews are preparing to shift the traffic lanes on I-90 west near the I-71 split to begin replacing the deck of the Kenilworth overpass.  This work is weather dependent, so we'll keep our website updated with all the latest information.   Please check the web, Facebook and Twitter often! 

Regional Interstate Impacts:
  • UPDATED!!  On Monday, December 12, the left lane of I-90 east will be closed between the I-90/I-71 merge and the Kenilworth overpass from 5 p.m. to midnight.
  • UPDATED!!  Overnight Monday, December 12, I-90 west will be closed between I-77 and I-490, from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Motorists can use I-77 south to I-490 west to I-90.
  • NEW!!  Overnight Tuesday, December 13, ODOT maintenance crews will close the right lane of the I-90 eastbound Innerbelt at Broadway Ave as well as close the I-90 east ramp to Broadway Ave from midnight-2a in order to install signage. During the closure, motorists may use E 9th or Ontario Streets.
Gateway Impacts:
  • Monday through Friday, December 12-16, E 9th Street will have lane restrictions from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily. 
  • NEW!!  Beginning on Wednesday, December 14, and continuing through Tuesday, December 20, Broadway Avenue will have periods of closure between E 14th Street and E 30th Street from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays as paving takes place.  Motorists may detour via Orange Avenue.
