I-90 Eastbound to I-271 Northbound Ramp Rehabilitation begins Today

Garfield Heights (Thursday, May 27, 2010) The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) and J.D. Williamson Construction Company, Inc. today began a project to replace the deck of the I-90 eastbound ramp to I-271 northbound in the city of Willoughby Hills.

Beginning today, Thursday, May 27 crews will implement a one lane closure on the I-90 eastbound ramp to I-271 northbound Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. until 2 p.m. each day and 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. each night.  One lane will remain open for use.  Temporary lane closures are not expected to impact rush hours.

Memorial Day weekend traffic will also not be impacted.

Beginning on, or around, June 7, crews will shift ramp traffic to the left as the right side is replaced.  After that time, only one lane will remain open for the duration of the project.

Crews will also close the shoulders of I-271 beneath the bridge, however minimal impacts to I-271 traffic are expected.

The entire project is expected to be complete on, or around, October 31, 2010.

All dates and times are approximate and weather dependent.  For statewide construction and road condition information visit www.BuckeyeTraffic.org.
