NEW!! Tremont Impacts:
· Wednesday, 3/20, Fairfield Avenue will be closed under I-90 until Thursday at 5pm. Motorists can use Kenilworth or Starkweather during this closure.
Downtown/Gateway District Impacts:
· On Monday, March 18 ,the left lane next to the median will be closed on inbound Ontario Avenue north of the Carnegie Avenue intersection from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
· Monday thru Friday, March 18-22, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., inbound Ontario will have the right-turn lane closed at Carnegie (Tri-C corner). Outbound Ontario will have the right-turn lane shifted closer to the right curb. Crews will be installing pavers in the pedestrian islands on these corners.
Work Continues: Crews will continue work to set structural steel beams over Ontario Street near Progressive Field. This work will require lane restrictions and nightly closures of Ontario Street; as well as nightly closures of the Ontario exit from I-90 east and the Ontario ramp to I-77 south. Work will be coordinated to minimize disruption to downtown events. This work is expected to last through the end of March. Additional details will be forthcoming!
UPDATED!! Attention Transit Users: Because of Innerbelt construction work, buses will replace all rail service east of Tower City on Tuesday and Thursday, March 19 and 21 after 8 p.m. until end of service and beginning late Friday, March 22 through Sunday, March 25. On Public Square, buses will pick up and drop off near the Horseshoe Casino, and make stops at every Red, Blue and Green line station.
