Attention Inbound Motorists:  As we prep to open the new westbound Innerbelt Bridge to traffic, a series of traffic changes will take place.  Soon, motorists who travel from the westside via I-90 east or I-71 north will need to use I-490 east to I-77 north to reach MidTown destinations via E 22nd Street and Carnegie Avenue.  Also, those who travel inbound on the Jennings north will need to use I-490 east to I-77 north to access I-90 east and downtown.  Additional details are here
Through it all, "Opt for the Alternate!" and use I-490 and I-77 where access to all downtown Cleveland exits is maintained. Using alternate forms of transportation and riding RTA are also suggested to avoid congestion.  No addition impacts are anticipated during the week of September 30.
This Weekend:
·        On Saturday, September 28, Ontario Street will be closed between E 14th Street and Carnegie Avenue from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. This work will also require the closure of the Ontario exit from I-90 east and the Ontario ramp to I-77 south.
·        Nights this weekend, Friday through Sunday, September 27-29, there will be intermittent lane closures on I-71, I-77, I-90, I-490, and SR 176 (the Jennings Freeway) for striping operations.
Attention Chester Avenue Motorists:  Effective Monday, September 30, the city of Cleveland will revise the work zone for the Chester Avenue resurfacing project.  The Chester exit ramp from I-90 east will be reduced from two lanes to one lane during this phase.  Click here for more information.
Please exercise caution in work zones. For statewide construction information visit:  Motorists are encouraged to ride RTA or carpool through OhioRideshare during these restrictions.  To unsubscribe from this group, please reply with "Unsubscribe" in the subject line.  For more information, log-on to or dial the Project Hotline at 216.344.0069.
