The following impacts will take place this weekend as crews work to shift traffic along the I-90 corridor. Upon completion of the traffic shift on Monday morning, westbound traffic will no longer be maintained using the "cattle-chute" configuration. I-90 traffic will still be restricted to two lanes in each direction and associated closures and restrictions will remain in effect.
Overnight Friday, August 19, the following closures/restrictions will be in-place:
- I-90 will remain OPEN in both directions.
-
The ramp from I-90 west to I-77 south will be closed from 11:30 p.m. until 6 a.m. Saturday
-
I-90 east will be reduced to one (1) lane between Ontario and E 14th Streets from midnight until 8 a.m. Saturday
On Saturday, August 20, the following closure will be in-place:
- I-90 west will be closed between I-77 and Ontario
from 6 a.m. until 5 p.m. as crews shift traffic in the area. Westbound I-90 traffic will be detoured via I-77 south to I-490 west. The closure is necessary as crews move westbound traffic onto the newly completed pavement and create a new work zone in the middle, between the east and westbound traffic lanes.
E 9th Street will be closed under I-90 from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m. on Monday
The ramp from I-90 west to I-77 south will be closed at Midnight until 7 a.m. on Sunday
On Sunday, August 21, the following closure will be in-place:
- E 14th Street will be closed under I-90
from 8 a.m. until 6 a.m. on Monday
E 9th Street will remain closed under I-90 until 6 a.m. on Monday
The ramp from I-90 west to I-77 south will be closed at Midnight until 5 a.m. on Monday if necessary to complete demolition work above the ramp
