It’s a Big, Fun Weekend in CLE!  With Tribe games, Race for the Cure, Cleveland Classic football, Ingenuity Fest, Tremont Arts & Cultural Fest, SPARX City Hop & more, it’s bound to be a fun and exciting weekend in Cleveland.  There are still plenty of ways to get around CLE, so don’t let construction stop you from checking out these great events.  See you there!
Remember: Both the Ontario and E 9th Street on-ramps to the Innerbelt Bridge are now closed.  The E 14th Street on-ramp to I-90 west is open. In addition, the entrance ramp to I-77 south at E 21st Street is open.  Be sure to Opt for the Alternate!  Using I-77 south to I-490 west is a great way to avoid this impact!  More info, maps and detours are available here.  Additional impacts are below:
Tremont Impacts:
  • NEW!!  On Thursday, September 26 Abbey Avenue will be closed under I-90 from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. Use the Lorain-Carnegie Bridge and the Innerbelt Bridge to detour; or use W 11th, Kenilworth, Willey and Columbus Road.

Downtown Impacts:

  • Nightly, Monday and Tuesday, September 23-24, Ontario Street will be closed between E 14th Street and Carnegie Avenue from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. each morning. This work will also require the closure of the Ontario exit from I-90 east and the Ontario ramp to I-77 south. **Closures will be coordinated with downtown events to minimize disruption to traffic.
Notice of Upcoming Work:  As we prep to open the new westbound Innerbelt Bridge to traffic, a series of traffic changes will take place.  On, or around, October 5, motorists who travel from the westside via I-90 east will need to use I-490 east to I-77 north to reach MidTown destinations via E 22nd Street and Carnegie Avenue.  Also, those who travel inbound on the Jennings north will need to use I-490 east to I-77 north to access I-90 east and downtown.  Through it all, "Opt for the Alternate!" and use I-490 and I-77 where access to all downtown Cleveland exits is maintained.
Please exercise caution in work zones.
