Lanes Closed on I-480 East over the Rocky River Again this Weekend
Clague Road on-ramp to I-480 east will also be closed
CLEVELAND (Tuesday, October 6, 2015) – This weekend crews on behalf of ODOT will again work to repair the driving surface of the bridge which carries I-480 east over the Rocky River between Clague and Grayton Roads. The two middle lanes are being resurfaced with a microsilica concrete mix which is more durable, reduces cracking, improves durability and increases strength.
Beginning Friday evening, multiple lanes will close on I-480 east between Clague and Grayton Roads from 7 p.m. Friday thru 6 a.m. Monday, October 9-12. In addition, the Clague Road on-ramp to I-480 east will also be closed. Motorists should use Brookpark Road to Grayton Road instead. Motorists who use I-480 east are advised to allow extra travel time during this work and prepare for slow-downs. All work is weather dependent.
This is the second of two weekends needed to complete the bulk of the work. The westbound lanes of I-480 will be unaffected.
As part of the same construction contract, crews are also repairing the driving surface of the I-71 north bridge over the Jennings Freeway (SR 176) near MetroHealth and Steelyard Commons. Work associated with both projects is expected to be complete this fall.
