GARFIELD HEIGHTS (Thursday, August 22, 2013) – On Tuesday, August 27, crews working to replace the West 25th Street bridge deck over I-71 will close West 25th Street from 6 p.m. Tuesday to 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday, August 28. The West 25th Street closure is necessary in order to perform a safe and efficient bridge deck pour. The work will take place overnight to minimize the disruption to local traffic. Emergency vehicles will have access to cross the bridge to reach Metro Health Hospital during the closure. Get detour information here.
In addition to permanent work zones, the following work is scheduled to take place in Cuyahoga County:
Thursday, August 22:
· Overnight Thursday, August 22, crews will intermittently close the Alger Road entrance ramp to I-90 westbound and the McKinley Road entrance and exit ramps at I-90 westbound from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. in order to perform paving operations. Detours will be posted.
· Overnight Thursday, August 22, crews will close the SR 91 northbound entrance ramp to U.S. 422 westbound from 8 p.m. to midnight and the U.S. 422 eastbound exit ramp to Harper Road from 10 p.m. to 3 a.m. in order to perform paving operations. Detours will be posted.
The following Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) construction projects have updated work involving lane and/or ramp closures beginning overnight Thursday, August 22 through Friday, August 30:
I-71 Resurfacing, Cleveland
I-71 northbound exit ramp to West 150th Street, Cleveland
I-90 Resurfacing, Cleveland and Lakewood
U.S. 422 Resurfacing, Solon, Warrensville Heights and Orange
West 25th Street over I-71, Cleveland
