GARFIELD HEIGHTS (Thursday, June 6, 2019) - Below is a quick overview of the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) projects with updated lane closures and restrictions starting tonight through the following week. Click here to see a complete list of active ODOT construction projects.
I-77 Widening over I-490,
Weather permitting, on Friday, June 14, at 8 p.m. I-77 north
and southbound between I-480 and I-490 will be closed through 6 a.m. Monday,
June 17, for structural steel erection work. Motorists will be detoured via
SR 176. Beginning Monday, June 17, I-77 north will be reduced to two lanes between
Pershing Avenue and I-490 through early-September for bridge and
Overnight Thursday, June 6, crews will close Miles Rd. under I-271 and Aurora Rd.
under I-271 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. for overhead bridge work. Miles Rd.
traffic will be detoured via Green Rd., Emery Rd. and Richmond Rd. Aurora Rd.
traffic will be detoured via Rockside Rd. and Bartlett Rd.
I-480 east lane
reconfiguration, Cleveland, Maple Hts. and Warrensville Hts.
Overnight Thursday, June
13, crews will close various lanes on
I-480 eastbound near Warrensville Center Road from approximately midnight to 6
a.m. for overhead sign installation.
Traffic on E. 55th
St. between Francis and Bower avenues has been shifted onto the newly
constructed temporary road, which allows for one lane in each direction to be
maintained on E. 55th Street through mid-2020.
State Route 10 (Lorain Road)
bridge, Fairview Park and Cleveland
On Friday, June 14, crews will begin work to
upgrade the fencing on the SR 10 (Lorain Rd.) bridge over the Rocky River. On
Friday, the right lane eastbound on the Lorain Rd. bridge will be closed for
fence work for approximately two weeks. On approximately Friday, June 28, the
right lane westbound on the Lorain Rd. bridge will be closed for fence work for
approximately two weeks.
East 55th Street resurfacing,
Beginning on approximately
June 19, crews will resume resurfacing operations on East 55th
Street between Haltnorth Ct. and Grand Ave. Two-way traffic will be maintained
with two northbound and one southbound lane.
