GARFIELD HEIGHTS (Friday, May 18, 2018) – The Cavs are back in town tomorrow tonight for
game 3 and while ODOT has numerous construction projects in the area, we are
doing our best to minimize impacts for those heading to the game and during
your daily commute.
Below is a quick overview of projects with updated lane closures and
restrictions starting tonight through Thursday, May 24. Click here to

I-90 Resurfacing, Rocky
River and Westlake
Overnight Friday, May 18,
crews will close various lanes on I-90
eastbound between Columbia Rd. and Clague Rd. from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. for
resurfacing work. Overnight Monday, May 21 through Thursday, May 24, crews will
close various lanes on I-90 eastbound
between Columbia Rd. and Clague Rd. from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. for resurfacing
work. During the overnight work, the entrance and exit ramps at Columbia Rd.
will intermittently be closed during the night. Detours will be posted.
I-271 widening, Bedford, Bedford
Heights, Warrensville Heights and Oakwood
each night Monday, May 21 through Thursday, May 24, the far left contraflow
lane will close from on I-271 southbound near U.S. 422 from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.
for pavement removal operations.
I-480 over Bartlett Road bridge
repairs, Bedford Heights
Overnight Tuesday, May 22
and Wednesday, May 23, crews will close the
Northfield Road/Mueti Drive entrance ramp to I-480 east/I-271 southbound and
various lanes on I-480 east and
westbound between Northfield Road and Rockside Road from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.
in order to perform paving operations. On Tuesday, May 29, the Northfield Rd./Mueti Dr. entrance ramp to I-480 east/I-271 south will close through fall 2018. Click here for detour and additional information.
State Route 10/Opportunity
Corridor Section 2, Cleveland
Monday, May 21 through Tuesday, May 29, Quincy
Avenue will close between East 100th Street and Woodhill Road as crews
perform bridge and platform work at the GCRTA station. Pedestrian access will remain open to the East 105th Street-Quincy GCRTA station. Click here for detour and additional information.
State Route 14 (Broadway Avenue) Bridge over I-77 and ramp to I-77 south, Cleveland (CCG6B)
On Saturday, May 19,
crews will close the left lane on I-77 northbound at Broadway Avenue from
8-11 a.m. in order to perform work in the center median. On Wednesday, May
23, crews will close the left lane on I-77 southbound at Broadway Avenue
from 4:30-6 a.m. in order to perform work in the center median.
State Route 176
Starting after Memorial Day,
crews will begin resurfacing work on SR 176 north and southbound between I-71
and Denison Avenue. Work will take place Monday through Friday overnight from 7
p.m. to 6 a.m. Additional details will be forthcoming.
Transportation Boulevard, Garfield Heights
Monday – Friday through mid-June, there will be various lane closures on I-480
east and westbound for overhead bridge work at Transportation Blvd from 7 p.m.
to 6 a.m.
Newell Street over State Route 2 bridge deck
Overnight Sunday, May
20 and Monday, May 21 from midnight to 6 a.m. there will be various lane
closures on SR 2 under Newell St. for overhead bridge work. There will also be
brief 5-15 minute rolling blockades of SR 2 to set beams during this overnight
Deck Sealing, various locations
On Friday, May 18 and Saturday, May 19 there will be
single lane closures on I-90 east and/or westbound over the Grand River in
Madison overnight from 7 p.m. to 10 a.m. There
will be no impacts during peak travel times.
Route 6 resurfacing, Chardon Township
permitting, Monday, May 21, crews will begin work to resurfacing U.S. 6
(Euclid-Chardon Rd./Kirtland-Chardon Rd.) between Thwing Rd. and east of Auburn
Road in Chardon Township. Two-way traffic will be maintained utilizing flaggers
Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. while work is taking place.
