GARFIELD HEIGHTS (Thursday, September 28, 2017) – The following Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) projects have work involving ramp and/or lane closures tonight and this weekend:
I-90 Resurfacing, Bratenahl and Cleveland
Overnight through Friday,
September 29 crews will close various
lanes of I-90 east and/or westbound between East 55th Street and
Lakeshore Blvd. during off-peak travel times in order to complete remaining
resurfacing operations. Overnight work may also require temporary ramp
closures, detours will be posted. Overnight Friday, September 29, crews will close the left two lanes on I-90 eastbound
near Eddy Road from 8 p.m. to noon on Saturday.
I-90 and Columbia Rd.
Interchange Improvements, Westlake
The entrance ramp from Columbia Rd. (SR 252) to
I-90 eastbound is scheduled to open on Monday, October 2. Until then, motorists are detoured via Detroit Rd. to Clague Rd. where
they can enter I-90 eastbound.
Widening, Bedford, Bedford Heights, Warrensville Heights and Oakwood
Daily Monday-Friday, through
October 6 crews will perform a right lane closure between Rockside Rd. and
Aurora Rd. from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Overnight Sunday, October 1, crews will close
the left lane – the contraflow lane – on I-271 northbound starting at approximately
Broadway Avenue in order to implement a minor traffic shift.
Resurfacing Beachwood, Lyndhurst and Mayfield Heights
Overnight through mid-October, crews will close various lanes on I-271
north and/or south between Fairmount Blvd. and Wilson Mills Road from 8 p.m. to
6 a.m. in order to perform final striping operations. This work will also
require intermittent ramp closures at Cedar/Brainard and Mayfield Road. Detours
will be posted.
U.S. 422 Slope Repair Over Railroad, Solon
Due to unforeseen circumstances, the left lane
of U.S. 422 eastbound east of SR 91 will remain closed until further notice as crews work to
shift traffic towards the right side of roadway. This shift is necessary for
the safety of the traveling public as the slope stabilization takes place
between the two bridges. Crews are working to repair slopes near the U.S. 422
bridge over the abandoned railroad east of SR 91 (SOM Center Rd.)
Route 175 (Richmond Road) bridge repairs, Richmond Heights
Richmond Road over the East Branch of Euclid Creek, between
U.S. 6 (Chardon Road) and White Road is expected to reopen on Monday, October 2
following bridge repairs. Until then, motorists
will be detoured via Mayfield Rd., I-271, I-90, Bishop Rd. and U.S. 6 (Chardon
Street Resurfacing, Cleveland
On Friday, September
28, crews will restrict East 55th
Street to two southbound lanes and one northbound lane between Superior Avenue
and Central Avenue through mid-November in order to perform resurfacing
Snow Road Resurfacing, Brook Park
September 29, crews will close the
eastbound Snow Road entrance ramp to I-71 north and the I-71 southbound exit
ramp to Snow Road eastbound (exit 237A) from 7 p.m. to 9 a.m. in order to perform paving operations on Snow
Road. Snow Road eastbound motorists
destined for I-71 north will be detoured via West 130th Street north
to I-71. I-71 southbound motorists destined for eastbound Snow Road will be
detoured via Bagley Road to I-71 north to Snow Road.
