ODOT Public Meeting to discuss SR 87/Kinsman Road
improvements in Middlefield Township
GARFIELD HEIGHTS (Tuesday, May 2, 2017) – The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) has completed a preliminary study for the improvement of State Route 87 (Kinsman Road) between Hayes Road and the Trumbull County Line in Middlefield Township.
The project will improve Kinsman Road between Hayes Road and the Trumbull County Line by widening existing shoulders to a width of 8’ in order to accommodate Amish buggies entirely within the shoulder. In addition, the crest of the hill just east of Hayes Road will be lowered by approximately 2’ in order to improve sight distance to the east of Hayes Road. The project will also include improving storm water drainage.
The proposed intersection improvements will be presented at an upcoming Public Meeting.
Date: Wednesday, May 17, 2017
Time: 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. There will be a brief presentation at 6:30 p.m.
Place: Middlefield Township Hall, 15228 Madison Road, Middlefield, OH
ODOT and its design team will present an overview of the preliminary study and preferred alternative. Questions can be asked about the project before or after the presentation.
Plans for this project can be found here. The presentation slides will be available to download in the future.
