ODOT to Offer Public Tours of George V. Voinovich Bridge Project Site
Two tours to be offered each month, April through September
CLEVELAND (Wednesday, April 15, 2015) – The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) and the George V. Voinovich Bridge project team are pleased to again offer monthly public tours of the bridge project site. The first tours will be held on Thursday, April 30, 2015.
The hour-long tours will take place twice each month, April through September. Up to 20 people will be able to participate in each tour session. NEW this year, two Saturday dates are included! For a complete schedule of tour dates and times, log-on to www.Innerbelt.org and select “Project Tours.”
“With such a large investment by the state of Ohio, we are pleased to again be offering tours of our project site,” said Myron Pakush, ODOT District Deputy Director for the Cleveland Region. “It’s really a tremendous thing to see up-close. This opportunity gives Clevelanders a new prospective to see the hard working women and men who build and maintain our infrastructure.”

New this year, reservations may be made online by visiting www.Innerbelt.org, by calling the project hotline at 216.344.0069 (toll-free at 855.803.5280) or e-mailing Info@Innerbelt.org. All tours are weather permitting and access to the work area may be denied at any time.
Tour attendees will need to dress appropriately, to include long pants and hard-soled, closed-toed shoes, and will be expected to walk about a mile as part of the tour. Attendees must be at least 18 years old, or 12 to 17 accompanied by a parent or guardian. All attendees will be required to sign waivers, available on-line. The project team will provide other safety gear needed to participate in the tour.
