ODOT Announces Date for Innerbelt Open House
Open house meeting to be held Monday, June 13  from 4:30-7 p.m. at Massimo da Milano

CLEVELAND (Tuesday, May 31, 2011) – The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) in coordination with Walsh Construction and HNTB Ohio Inc., are happy to announce that a public open house for the Innerbelt Bridge project will be held Monday, June 13, 2011.

Members of the community who would like to learn more about the project – including upcoming impacts to Interstate 90 commuters – are invited to drop-in any time between 4:30 and 7 p.m. on June 13 to speak with project staffers.

Who:  Innerbelt project team, including representatives from ODOT, Walsh Construction and HNTB Ohio Inc.

What:  Public open house.  Project staff will be on-hand to talk with guests and provide handouts and newsletters.  Large format display materials will explain traffic impacts and construction activities for the remainder of 2011.

When:  Monday, June 13, 2011; 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Where:  Massimo da Milano, 1400 West 25th Street, Cleveland, OH 44113.  Parking is available in the lot on West 25th Street, just south of the restaurant.

Why:  The Innerbelt project team hopes to engage those impacted by the construction and further the community’s understanding of impacts due to the Innerbelt Bridge project.

In September 2010, the project was awarded to Walsh Construction and designer HNTB Ohio Inc. for a total bid amount of $287.4 million.  Using the unique design-build process in which the design and construction of the project are combined in a single contract, the team will complete substantial construction of the new westbound bridge during the fall of 2013 nearly a year earlier than originally anticipated.
