Innerbelt Update
 
Attention Downtown Motorists: Overnight tonight, crews will implement a one-lane closure on outbound Ontario Street approaching I-90/I-77.  After tonight, outbound Ontario will not be able to turn right onto the Lorain-Carnegie Bridge. Motorists will be detoured via Huron and E 9th Street to reach westbound Carnegie.  Additionally, the angled street formerly leading to Central Viaduct Way will be permanently closed.  Motorists should expect delays during this work tonight and during evening rush hours.  For more information on work at the intersection of Carnegie and Ontario, click here. During the same timeframe, crews will also shift traffic on Carnegie Avenue.  
 
We’ll update you on Monday with impacts for the week of June 11.  Impacts to traffic during the coming weekend are below:
Traffic Impacts for June 8-10:
 
Regional Interstate Impacts:
§   On Saturday, June 9, from 5 a.m. until 1 p.m., the ramp from I-90 west to I-77 south will be closed. Detour via I-90 west to I-71/SR 176 south to I-480 east to I-77.
§   NEW!!  On Saturday, June 9, from 5 a.m. until 1 p.m., the right lane of I-90 east between Ontario and E 14th Street will be closed.
 
Gateway Impacts:
§   On Saturday June 9, from 6 a.m. until 6 p.m., E 9th Street under I-90, the E 9th Street ramp to I-77 south and the ramp from I-90 east to E 9th Street will each be closed.  Detours will be posted.  The ramp from E 9th Street to I-90 west will remain OPEN.
 
Tremont Impacts:
§   On Friday, June 8, Fairfield Avenue will be closed between I-90 and Scranton Avenue from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Use Starkweather or Kenilworth.
§   Abbey Avenue remains reduced to a single lane of westbound traffic.  Click here for more information.
