Portion of I-271 Express Lanes to Close For 21-days

Garfield Heights, Ohio (Friday, July 2, 2010) – Starting next week the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) and the Shelly Company of Twinsburg will begin a project to resurface the I-271 Express Lanes between U.S. 322 (Mayfield Road) and Interstate 90 in the Cities of Mayfield Heights, Mayfield and Willoughby Hills.
Beginning on, or around, Tuesday, July 6 crews will close the I-271 southbound Express Lanes between I-90 and Mayfield Road as crews work to resurface the southbound Express Lanes. The portion between I-90 and Highland Road will be closed until approximately July 26 and the portion between Highland Road and Mayfield Road will be closed until approximately July 13.
The I-271 northbound Express Lanes will remain open along with the I-271 north and southbound Local Lanes.
Once the southbound resurfacing is complete, crews will close the northbound Express Lanes and begin milling and paving. Details will be forthcoming.
The entire project is scheduled to be complete on, or around, October 15, 2010.
