SR 14 (Broadway Ave) Intersection Reconstruction to Begin Monday, April 7
Ackley Road will be closed at Broadway Avenue until mid-June
GARFIELD HEIGHTS (Wednesday, April 2, 2014) – Crews on behalf of the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT), will close Ackley Road at Broadway Avenue (SR 14) until mid-June beginning Monday, April 7. This will begin phase one of reconstruction of the Ackley/Union/Broadway intersection in the city of Cleveland.
Motorists will be detoured via East 65th Street and Kenyon Avenue. Two-way traffic will be maintained on Broadway Avenue and Union Avenue.
The entire project reconstructs the Ackley/Union/Broadway intersection to create a standard four way signalized intersection. The Ackley Road portion of the project will be repositioned to directly align with Union Avenue at Broadway Avenue. The improvements include new intersection concrete pavement, curbs, sidewalks, catch basins and traffic signals. The entire project is expected to be complete in September 2014.
