SR 2 Westbound Pavement Repair Lane Closures To Begin Friday
Left lane closed on SR 2 westbound for approximately two weeks
GARFIELD HEIGHTS (Thursday, November 1, 2012) – Pavement repairs on SR 2 were unable to begin on Monday, October 29 due to the inclement weather caused by Hurricane Sandy. A revised work schedule has been developed and crews will begin repairs starting Friday, November 2.
On Friday at 9 a.m. crews will close two lanes on SR 2 westbound between SR 615 and Lost Nation Road until 6 a.m. Monday, November 5 at which time they will reopen one lane, leaving the left lane closed for the duration of the week.
Also on Friday at 7 p.m., crews will close the SR 306 southbound entrance ramp to SR 2 westbound until 6 a.m. Monday, November 5. Motorist will be detoured via SR 306 to U.S. 20 to Erie Street to Lost Nation Road.
Beginning on Monday, November 5, crews will close the left lane on SR 2 westbound between SR 615 and Lost Nation Road for approximately two weeks – weather permitting – in order to perform pavement repair operations.
During peak westbound travel times (Tuesday through Friday 6 a.m. to 9 a.m.), motorists can expect two lanes to be open. However, during non-peak travel times crews may close the left two lanes for their operations.
On Friday, November 9 at 9 a.m. crews will close two lanes on SR 2 westbound between SR 615 and Lost Nation Road until 6 a.m. Monday, November 12 at which time they will reopen one lane, leaving the left lane closed for the duration of the week.
These closures are necessary to complete pavement repair work in the area. All work is weather permitting.
