Temporary Ramp Closure on I-77 south to SR
82 west and New
Traffic Signals Begin Operation
GARFIELD HEIGHTS (Friday, July 15,
who frequently use the I-77 and SR 82 interchange will notice new traffic
signals in operation beginning this weekend!
But first, the I-77
southbound to SR 82 westbound ramp will close overnight tonight Friday, July 15
from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. in order to shift traffic onto the new exit
ramp. Motorists will be detoured via I-77 south to Miller Road to I-77
north. When the ramp reopens, traffic will be utilizing the new SR 82
westbound exit ramp.
Three new traffic
signals have been installed as part of this interchange improvement project and
all will begin operation late Friday night. They are located at the I-77
southbound exit ramp to SR 82 east, the I-77 southbound exit ramp to SR 82 west
and the I-77 northbound exit ramp to SR 82. Motorists should be alert for
