U.S. Route 422 Reopens
Parkman and Nelson Townships, Geauga County 

November 26, 2008, Garfield Heights, OH Today the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) reopened westbound U.S. 422 to traffic. Detours are no longer in effect. The reconstruction of U. S. Route 422 in Parkman and Nelson Townships began on June 4, 2007.   

The project totally reconstructs U.S. 422 (Main Market Road) from East Farmington to the Portage County line.  The road now includes four driving lanes and a center turn lane.  Minor operations, including landscaping, will continue into the spring of 2009.
