Attention Commuters:  Beginning on Monday, January 23, the W 14th Street off-ramp from I-90 west will be closed and all exiting traffic will instead use the Abbey Avenue loop ramp. Motorists can still reach W 14th easily, by turning right onto Abbey and then right onto W 14th.  The closure is necessary so that the ramp can be shifted slightly and strengthened so that it can handle all traffic once the Abbey loop ramp is closed for relocation.  This work is expected to take a month or more. The W 14th ramp will be reopened when the work is complete.

Once the W 14th ramp is reopened, crews will then close the Abbey loop ramp and begin to demolish it. The current Abbey Avenue loop ramp occupies the space where the new bridge and new loop ramp will be constructed.  The existing bridge and the W 14th ramp will remain open, maintaining easy access into Tremont.
