Weekend Work beginning May 7, 2010
Garfield Heights (Friday, May 7, 2010) – In addition to permanent work zones and daily work plan, the following work is scheduled to take place over the weekend in Cuyahoga County:
Weekend Long Work:
I-271 Resurfacing, Warrensville Heights, Pepper Pike, Beachwood, Mayfield Heights, Orange & Woodmere… Beginning Friday, May 7 the I-271 northbound Express Lanes will be closed between Emery Road and U.S. 322 (Mayfield Road) beginning at 9 p.m. and will remain closed through 6 a.m. Monday, May 10 for milling operations. Northbound traffic will be detoured onto the local lanes. The I-271 southbound Express Lanes and all Local Lanes will remain open.
I-71 Bridge Painting, Cleveland and Village of Linndale
Crews will close two lanes of I-71 southbound between West 130th Street and Bellaire Road from 7 a.m. Saturday, May 8 until 6 a.m. Monday, May 10 as crews work to paint the West 130th Street, Bellaire Road, Memphis Avenue and Norfolk Southern bridges along I-71.
Overnight Sunday, May 9:
I-77 Add Lane Project, Brecksville, Broadview Heights and Independence
During the overnight hours of Sunday, May 9 crews will work to extend the I-77 southbound construction zone about one mile to the south. Interstate 77 lane closures are anticipated. Crews will also close the SR 82 ramp to I-77 southbound from approximately 9 p.m. until 6 a.m. as this work takes place. Motorists will be detoured via adjacent ramps.
