Garfield Heights (Friday, October 8, 2010) – In addition to permanent work zones and daily work plan, the following work is scheduled to take place over the weekend in Cuyahoga and Lake Counties:

Overnight Friday, October 8:
State Route 237 (Airport Freeway) Pavement Repairs & Paving, Cleveland
Overnight Friday, October 8, crews will close the Interstate 71/SR 237 southbound exit ramp to the Cleveland Hopkins International Airport from 7 p.m. until 6 a.m. the following morning Saturday, October 9 as crews perform pavement operations.  Motorists will be directed to use Snow Road to State Route 237 northbound to access the Cleveland Hopkins International Airport.  State Route 237 traffic will be maintained in both directions.  Crews work to resurface the I-480 westbound ramp to SR 237 southbound and the Brookpark Road ramp to Cleveland Hopkins International Airport.  Crews work weeknights, 7 p.m. until 6 a.m.  Only minor disruptions to traffic are expected. Tentative completion date: October 15, 2010.

Weekend Long Work:
State Route 91 Signal Upgrade and Turn Lane Addition, Cities of Willoughby Hills and Willoughby
Beginning Friday, October 8 at 6 p.m. and continuing through Saturday, October 9 at approximately 1 p.m., crews will close multiple lanes of SR 91 between Classic Drive and I-90 in order to perform paving operations.  Only one lane of traffic will remain open in each direction.  Delays are expected.   Crews work to upgrade traffic signals on the I-90 ramps at SR 91 and Classic Drive.  This project is funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. Tentative completion date: November 30, 2010.

I-71 Bridge Painting, Cleveland and Village of Linndale
Beginning Friday, October 8, crews will close the I-71 northbound marginal road exit ramp at West 130^th Street/Bellaire Road until Tuesday, October 26 as crews work to paint the overhead bridge.  Bellaire Road will remain accessible via the W. 130^th Street ramp system.   Also beginning Friday, October 8 at 8 p.m. crews will close multiple lanes on I-71 north and southbound between West 130^th Street and the Norfolk Southern Railroad through Monday, October 11 at 6 a.m.  The entire project paints the following bridges along I-71: West 130^th Street, Bellaire Road, Memphis Avenue and Norfolk Southern. Tentative completion date: October 30, 2010.
