Weekend Work beginning September 10, 2010
Garfield Heights (Friday, September 10, 2010) – In addition to permanent work zones and daily work plan, the following work is scheduled to take place over the weekend in Cuyahoga and Lake Counties:
Overnight Friday, September 10:
I-77 Add Lane Project, Brecksville, Broadview Heights and Independence
Overnight Friday, September 10, crews will close the Pleasant Valley entrance ramp to I-77 northbound from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. in order to perform resurfacing operations. Motorists will be detoured via adjacent ramps. The I-77 southbound exit ramp to State Route 82 eastbound has reopened. On I-77, nightly lane closures are expected. The entire project adds a lane on I-77 between Oakes Road and Rockside Road. Tentative completion date: October 2011.
Phase II State Route 2 Modernization & Lane Addition, Eastlake, Mentor, Willoughby
Overnight Friday, September 10, crews will close one lane of State Route 2 westbound at Lost Nation at 7 p.m. followed by intermittent complete closures of State Route 2 at Lost Nation and the Lost Nation Road entrance ramp to State Route 2 westbound beginning at 10 p.m. until 5:30 a.m. the following morning. Crews will once again be working to erect new structural steel beams at Lost Nation Road. The SR 2 westbound exit ramp to SR 91 has reopened. Additional closures and restrictions remain in place. Weekend Long Work:
I-71 Bridge Painting, Cleveland and Village of Linndale
Beginning Friday, September 10 at 7 p.m. crews will close multiple lanes on I-71 north and southbound between West 130th Street and the Norfolk Southern Railroad through Monday, September 13 at 7 a.m. The entire project paints the following bridges along I-71: West 130th Street, Bellaire Road, Memphis Avenue and Norfolk Southern. Tentative completion date: September 2010.
