Weekend Work for July 24 through 26, 2009
July 24, 2009, Garfield Heights, OH… In addition to permanent work zones and daily work plan, the following work is scheduled to take place over the weekend in Cuyahoga County:
I-77 Add Lane Project, Brecksville, Broadview Heights and Independence
Beginning overnight Friday, July 24, crews will switch traffic onto the new pavement adjacent to the center media wall on I-77 northbound between Wallings and Rockside Roads. At 7:30 p.m. Friday crews will close the left lane of I-77 northbound followed by the Pleasant Valley entrance ramp to I-77 northbound and the I-77 northbound exit ramps to both Pleasant Valley and Rockside Roads. Detours will be posted. All ramps are expected to remain closed through approximately 6 a.m. on Saturday, July 25. Lane closures are expected to continue through Saturday afternoon. Motorists are encouraged to use caution and follow all posted signage as traffic patterns, particularly at the I-77 northbound/I-480 interchange, will change.
Friday, July 24:
I-490 Eastbound Ramp to I-77 Northbound Widening & Miscellaneous Upgrades, Cleveland… Overnight Friday, July 24 crews will close I-490 westbound beneath I-77 from 7:30 p.m. until 6 a.m. in order to perform sheet piling operations. Motorists may detour via I-77 north and E. 30th Street and I-77 southbound where they may reenter I-490 westbound.
Saturday, July 26:
I-490 Eastbound Ramp to I-77 Northbound Widening & Miscellaneous Upgrades, Cleveland… Beginning at 7 a.m. on Saturday, July 25, crews will close the I-490 eastbound ramp to I-77 northbound until approximately 5 a.m. on Sunday, July 26. Motorists will be detoured via I-77 south and Harvard Avenue where they may reenter I-77 northbound. The Harvard Avenue detour will also serve as the primary detour for heavy truck traffic which has been diverted from the I-90 Innerbelt Bridge.
Sunday, July 26:
I-77 at Miller Road Cable Work, Brecksville
On Sunday, July 26 crews on behalf of Time Warner Cable will close I-77 at Miller Road intermittently for periods of no more than 10 minutes each in any one consecutive 30 minute period. All work will take place between sun-up and approximately 10 a.m. Intermittent closures are necessary as crews work to pull cable across the roadway.
