Willoughby Hills: Maplegrove Road over I-90 Reopens to Traffic
Lake County overpass deck replacement project nearly complete
GARFIELD HEIGHTS (Friday, November 9, 2012) – The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) is pleased to announce that today the Maplegrove Road bridge over I-90 in the city of Willoughby Hills has reopened. The reopening of the roadway reestablishes the link between SOM Center Road and River Road and reconnects residents with the Pine Ridge Plaza Shopping Center and easy access to Interstates 90 and 271.
The bridge was closed on May 7, 2012 for demolition of the deck and driving surface. Since then, crews have erected new steel and poured a new concrete deck.
Various lane closures are expected on I-90 east and westbound and on the I-271 north and southbound Express Lanes under Maplegrove Road in order to complete minor operations beneath the bridge. Details on upcoming restrictions are below:
Overnight Monday, November 12, crews will close the I-271 north and southbound Express Lanes under Maplegrove Road from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Motorists will be detoured onto the Local Lanes.
Overnight Tuesday, November 13, crews will close various lanes on I-90 east and westbound under Maplegrove Road from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.
