Winners of ODOT District 12 “Road-eo” Announced

Employees prove their skills are up to par

GARFIELD HEIGHTS (Friday, July 1, 2011) – Once the dust settled at the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) District 12 “Road-eo” at Punderson State Park on Wednesday and Thursday, the winners were announced:

 Snow Plow Truck winners

• First Place -  Bob Salminen
• Second Place - Clarence Imhoff
• Third Place - Andrei Milano

Loader Roadeo winners:

• First Place - Bill Gerber
• Second Place - Jason Szabo
• Third Place - Bob Salminen
  

The “Road-eo” features the men and women of Cuyahoga, Lake and Geauga County maintenance forces maneuvering trucks and loaders through an obstacle course of traffic cones.  These equipment operators are pitted against one another to test their skills in maneuvering equipment through a series of obstacles intended to mimic situations they encounter on the job. 

First and second place winners of the District 12 “Road-eo” will move on to face the winners from 11 other ODOT Districts at the ODOT Director’s Cup “Road-eo” to be held in Columbus this August.
