Woodhill and Buckeye Road Intersection to Close for One Year
Traffic changes implemented on Wednesday, May 21.
GARFIELD HEIGHTS (Friday, May 16, 2014) – On Wednesday, May 21, crews on behalf of the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT), will close the intersection of Woodhill Road and Buckeye Road until May 2015 to allow for the reconstruction of the Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority underpass railroad structure.
Buckeye Road motorists will be detoured via Woodland Avenue to Martin Luther King Drive/East 116th Street.
Woodhill Road motorists will be detoured via Kinsman Road to East 79th Street to Woodland Avenue.
Also on Wednesday, May 21, the westbound section of Shaker Boulevard between East 103rd Street and Woodhill Road will be open to bi-directional traffic while the eastbound section of Shaker Boulevard will remain closed until May 2015.
The entire project replaces the SR 87 bridge over the GCRTA at Woodhill Road and Shaker Blvd in the city of Cleveland. Construction is anticipated to be complete in October 2016.
