Work to begin at I-271 & Mayfield Rd. interchange

Mayfield Heights

July 21, 2008, Garfield Heights, OH…Overnight Thursday, July 24 crews will begin work at the intersection of I-271 and U.S. 322 (Mayfield Road). 

 

Crews will close the I-271 north and southbound ramps to Mayfield Road eastbound, however eastbound access will be maintained utilizing existing and temporary ramps. 

 

Motorists are encouraged to be aware of shifting traffic patterns and follow all construction signage as indicated.

 

Temporary ramps and shifted traffic patterns will remain in effect until approximately August 25, 2008.

 

On Mayfield Road, work will begin on the south side with two lanes in each direction maintained on the north side of Mayfield Road between Golden Gate Plaza and Wal-Mart Drive. 

 

The entire project widens a portion and reconstructs Mayfield Road between Lander Road and the eastern Mayfield Heights corporation limit.  The entire project is expected to be complete in September 2009 with all major roadway work complete during mid-summer 2009.
